CU GOLD – Gaining Opportunities through Leadership Development
What is CU GOLD?
CU GOLD provides free leadership development programs open to all CU students to inspire students to create positive change in their communities. Our programs range from semester-long weekly seminars (Core Leadership Program) to a half-day intensive conference (Annual Leadership Conference). We also provide services for student groups (Workshops in a Box and Event Planning 101) and valuable resources for student involvement and recognition. The CU GOLD Executive Board, made up of a volunteer base of students who have graduated from the Core Leadership Program, is instrumental in planning, facilitating, and creating the various aspects of CU GOLD.
CU GOLD is a student-run department of the Student Involvement, Activities, and Leadership Development Office of the University Memorial Center.
Mission
Our mission is to be a credible resource for current and emerging leaders on the CU campus. We foster a culture of accountability, leadership, and responsibility by inspiring diverse students to develop and enhance their leadership abilities. Students will learn to apply their leadership skills in order to positively impact both the university and the surrounding community.
We accomplish our mission through free and open leadership workshops, networking events, the Core Leadership Program, the Applied Leadership Program, community service, and leadership recognition.
Updates
Our acclaimed Core Leadership Program is being offered on both TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS in Spring 2013! Apply ASAP to secure your spot.
