CU GOLD Executive Board
CU GOLD is run by a volunteer base of students who sit on the CU GOLD Executive Board. The Executive Board is instrumental in implementing and planning all CU GOLD events and programs as well as providing direction for all aspects of the CU GOLD Program. Feel free to stop by our office (UMC 444) to meet the board!
To apply to the Board, you must have successfully completed the Core Leadership Program and be a current CU student. Applications (below) are currently open for the Fall 2012 semester and are due April 6th, 2012.
CU Gold Advisory Board

CLP Director
Major: Undeclared, Arts and Sciences
Goals: Getting a good degree, finding my interests, having fun
Hobbies: Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, N64, Friendshipping
Leadership Role Models: My Dad, Katie Snyder

Student Coordinator
Major: English and Communication
Goals: Leave CU GOLD in an AWESOME position when I graduate!! (Oh and finish the Philadelphia marathon in November)
Hobbies: Running, skiing, hanging out at coffee shops, HULU, crossword puzzles, editing papers - let me know if you need a proofreader!!
Anyone with a clear vision who communicates it well. Also, anyone who can truly inspire and empower people to take ownership of that goal.

CLP Director
Major: Economics Goals: Graduate from College, travel the world and visit every continent (expect Antarctica), and retire on the beach someday.
Hobbies: Tennis, hanging out, biking (Road/Mountain), traveling, fishing, concerts, and lots of other stuff as well.
Leadership Role Models: I've had many great role models throughout my life, but if I had to choose it'd be my Dad.

Community Service Coordinator
Major: International Affair and Anthropology
Goals: To graduate in 4 years, find a fulfilling job where I can make a difference, and to be happy and love my life!
Hobbies: swimming, hiking, traveling, volunteering, watching Will Ferrell movies!
Leadership Role Models: Anyone who effectively creates the change they want to see in the world.

ALP Director
Major: International Affairs & Psychology
Goals: Attend law school; be an attorney
Hobbies: Fun outside & inside activities
Leadership role model: The man or woman who is influential and confident, yet not arrogant; whom people want to follow and be a part of their team; who accomplishes extraordinary results by their ability to share their vision; leads by actively being involved; recognizes the team for their achievements; and understands the importance of having fun while getting the job done!

Community Service Coordinator
Major: Finance & International Business
Goals: Travel to all 50 states and 7 continents, volunteer 1000 hours by the time I graduate, make a difference in the world, be the best person I can be.
Hobbies: Traveling, volunteering, reading, making new friends, getting involved.
Leadership role model: Anyone who actively works to make a difference, creates change, or realizes a shared vision and does so with understanding, respect, and by putting others first. Personally though, my mom, Michelle Obama, and Lucille Ball.

CLP Director
Major: Neuroscience (Pre-medicine)
Goals: More than anything, I want to become a doctor. I also would like to become fluent in French and continue to create a life full of love, good memories, travel, family and friends.
Hobbies: Gardening, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family
Leadership Role Models: My parents and my high school teacher Mr. Lawson.

Major: Journalism, emphasis in Spanish and Women's Studies
Goals: To eventually have a high powered job within the media industry, preferably in PR. To continue to progress as a leader and inspire others with my daily activities and choices. To be a happy and well rounded person!
Hobbies: Cooking, eating, going to the movies, watching TV, swimming, traveling, PINTEREST!
Role models: My mother and grandmother. They, and other women like them who are self sustaining and independent are my inspirations in life.

Event Coordinator
Major: Open Option (Integrative Physiology)
Goals: Graduate in four years, run a half-marathon, learn to cook, find a career that I love!
Hobbies: Yoga, snowboarding, EATING, golfing, anything outside...
Leadership role model: Jamie Oliver (from Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution), my 6th grade teacher Ms. Brown
Event Coordinator
Major: Applied Math and Chemical Engineering
Goals:Live life as a happy engineer who travels the world, serves my community, plays music, and cooks delicious meals that make people smile!
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, hiking, studying Russian culture, piano, fishing, traveling, concerts.
Leadership role model: Anyone eager to challenge himself, people who make a priority to serve others, the kid who sits with the new kid at lunch

Advisor
Major: B.S. Political Science, Southern Utah University, M.S. Political Science, Utah State
Goals: PhD in a higher education administration, own a craft business, see all the Best Picture winners, meet Dave Matthews
Hobbies: Crafts, movies, books, food, poetry
Leadership Role Model: I firmly believe anyone can be a leader, so my role models often change. A role model to me is humble, courageous, inclusive and has a sense of humor!

Marketing Assistant
Major: Int'l Affairs, Economics
Goals: Grad School: Economic Dev.; make a difference in lives of impoverished citizens around the world; have a street named after me, write a best-seller
Hobbies: Music, art, interior design, dance, literature, movies. Love Amnesty International-go human rights!
Leadership role model: My father, the first in his Chinese village to go to college; Nelson Mandela; Sophie Scholl; anyone with courage and strength to make a positive change in their life or lives of those around them.
